Thanks to everyone who made this a memorable weekend for Boston, Liberty Wharf, and the SUP (stand up paddling) Community! It was a beautiful weekend for these events and we hope everyone had a ton of fun!

Make sure to join us for the Liberty Cup Challenge, the second SUP event at Liberty Wharf, that will take place on August 5th.

If you missed the action today, don’t worry there is still another day packed with paddleboarding activities taking place tomorrow at Liberty Wharf! Just in case you weren’t there, here is a quick recap of the day:

Early in the morning, the paddleboarders line up their boards before the days races take place.

The paddleboarders get ready to take part in the races as they go over the rules and regulations.

Despite the weather, these athletes are ready to face the waves head on, eager to compete in the elite division!

Tomorrow is sure to be a great day with a sunny high of 70 degrees! Bring the whole family and come down to the Wharf to watch these paddleboarders and Father’s Day!

The Incredible JB Benn is Coming to Liberty Wharf June 21st!

Boston Tea Paddle Coming to Liberty Wharf!

Come down to Liberty Wharf this weekend on Saturday and Sunday for the paddleboard event, the Boston Tea Paddle!

On both days the Marina will be closed from 9AM to 5PM but will reopen to the public from 5PM to 11:30PM.

The stand up paddling (SUP) community in New England will be coming to Liberty Wharf for the Boston Tea Paddle and the Liberty Cup Challenge this summer. The Boston Tea Paddle will take place from June 16-17th and the Liberty Cup Challenge will take place on August 5th.

The Wharf will be an excellent location to watch these stand up paddlers. During the Boston Tea Paddle, a vender/demo village will be open to the public. Surfari instructors will be running free clinics and classes for anyone who wants to learn how to paddle! In addition to these races and festivities, we will also be celebrating Boston Harbor’s improved water quality and the renewal of the historic waterfront.

These races will not only be held for the SUP community, the athletes, and public, but also to help benefit those individuals with spinal cord injuries. The proceeds from both of the events will be donated to Journey Forward, a non-profit rehabilitation program that strives to help improve the lives of those with spinal cord injuries.

LIBERTY WHARF DOCKS OPEN 2012!

The Liberty Wharf Marina will open the 2012 season this Saturday, May 26^th at 12pm. For the opening day, the weather is forecasted to be beautiful, sunny, and a high of 82 degrees! Come on down to Liberty Wharf this weekend by car, train, foot, or boat and have a great start to your Memorial Day weekend!

Liberty Wharf 2011 Marina Season Ends October 11th

The Liberty Wharf Marina will be closed for the 2011 season on October 11th. Thank you to all the boaters who made this first season at Liberty Wharfs docks such a successful and great experience. We look forward to opening the Marina for business again in May 2012.

Apperian Comes to the South Boston Innovation District.

It has been a few months since Apperian moved into its new South Boston headquarters in the Innovation District at 321 Summer Street. We are thrilled to be part of this rapidly growing neighborhood that is attracting innovative technology and service companies.

The Innovation District has been very welcoming! This area has plenty to offer for our employees and visitors, including convenient transportation (just 10 minutes away from T, Train, bus and water taxi) and on-street parking (try finding that in downtown!). New Liberty Wharf Marina Docking Rates

Starting Monday July 25th new docking fees will apply at Liberty Wharf Marina:

Standard Docking: $20.00 per hour with a 6 hour limit.
Lunch Docking: $15.00 per hour 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Long-stay Docking: For stays of 6 to 12 hours boaters will be charged $250.00 dollar flat rate.
Event Docking: Rates for Harbor and area Events will be established day of events.
Large Vessel Docking: $40 per hour for boats exceeding 50 in length.
